there're a lot of changes to this school i dearly cherish:
- the implementation of IP has made the school a more vibrant place (maybe not as "Stoney" as before?)
- they're building a hostel right behind the school.. living on prime land leh!
- they have some discussion rooms built in the library for teachers to book and hold small group discussions or consultation.
- our dear Mrs Poon is now the VP.. she's great!
- no "live" band in the morning already.. national anthem n school anthem played through the PA system.. not as unique anymore :(
- students now tap their cards at the gate to "Sign in". teachers do not need to manually do headcount in the parade square..
- of course, most of our teachers are no longer around.. nevertheless, it still feels great that i'm joining my alma mater..
on the side note, the bus i took to school broke down this morning! luckily that bus comes so frequently, i took the next bus shortly after i alighted frm the breakdown bus.. LOL.. not so unlucky in on the 1st day, phew!!!
Sypnosis as below:
"Based on a true story. This story is about a girl named Aya who suffered from an incurable disease, but lived life to the fullest until her death at 25.
The original story is based on the diary Aya kept writing until she could no longer hold a pen. The book that later followed entitled “One Liter of Tears" has sold over 1.1 million copies.
Aya's only wish was “to live." By carefully depicting Aya's earnest desire to live, and the love of her family, friends, and lover, the drama, “One Liter of Tears" wishes to deliver her simple but strong message: “Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing." "
being able to cherish one's family and friends and know that they care very much for you before you are going to die. this story is about kinship, friendship and certainly a girl who is very strong and determined to overcome the challenges. very touching.. and you will cry buckets. I did.. almost every episode.
many life's stories can be learnt from this show. do take some time to watch it if you haven't. it'll allow u to gain new perspectives in life.
- she give samples for us to use if she felt that a change of product might be good for our skin, but she's afraid we might get side effects, so she doesn't want us to buy the full size 1st.. This way she's not like some other beauty salons who make u buy lotsa different products so that they can earn commission.. especially those places which are more "commercialised"..
- she is v interested in the area of beauty and does her own research from the library, verifying whatever she read on the magazines and papers with research, experimenting etc.. anything regarding that aspect, i can always ask her for opinion..
- she doesn't mind spending more time on me, cos u know how my face condition is.. and she doesn't make any excuse just to save time on doing my face..
- she told me stories of her previous employer whom which cheated customers doing slimming by adjusting their scales b4 the session and after the session. she told stories of another previous employer of overcharging customers on a simple bottle of "aloe vera gel" which was termed as "soothing gel".
it's nice to talk to someone from a different walk of life as us.. and it's great to know she treats u as a fren too.. :)
